Musings of the Day
Just got back from Paris last day so I took the day off to rest. Tomorrow I'll make a simple dress for a shoot this Saturday with IlunaNeko, but other than that I'm going to do absolutely nothing this week except for excessive gaming and hanging with friends.
Cause I need to mentally catch up to meeting all these senpai's in such a short period
Animecon (The Hague)
A rather exhausting con, to say the least. Friday I didn't get to see much.. they asked quite a lot of time for preparation for my performance with GodValley. But I did get half an hour off to explore with the boys Right after our performance, my boyfriend Koen (who's also the bassist of our band) did a piano duet with Melek Eser on violin. Call me sentimental, but I always get extremely proud whenever Koen is performing on piano for an audience. He's been playing for 14 years now and I'm happy I could somehow give him more opportunities by introducing him to the convention scene, especially since he'd lost his motivation. But it's back again Also more feels: Melek proposed to her boyfriend during the performance.
Anyways, Saturday. Which is PRISM day. Which means running hither and thither all day long. We picked RWBY as our act project, with Akumatenshi, Kaoru's boyfriend and my boyfriend joining us as cameo cosplayers. Been an amazing year and the boys are easy to work with, which is definitely the most important factor in collaborations. The better the friendship, the better our performance! Also got my fellow members matching necklaces to encourage our team ^^
We also met a guy who asked us to make a video for Roosterteeth and who sent pictures of us to the voice actors; got them shared by Jessica Nigri and Lindsay Tuggey :v And apparently Yaya Han is a RWBY fan too! Score! Also got a picture with Kamui cosplay later that day.
Sunday I did nothing, as usual. Got a picture with Yuegene, but sadly no Reika and TaeYeon Kim.
Godvalley's support act for LOKA (The Hague)
The week after, I had a band performance for Loka, an awesome cool band from Japan. Those guys are nuts. It was a lot of fun, very cosy audience and nice chatting with the band. Not sure if happy or emberassed the singer called me a “hot chick vocalist”, but next time I'll allow him to sign my legs.
Japan Expo (Paris)
And last week, Japan Expo. It's fucking huge and I felt like I died and ended up in Geekheaven and then died again from all the awesomeness. It was my first time visiting and I deeply regret I missed Kamijo. But I did get to meet Kaname, which is more than enough for me. I also wore Olivia for the first time with an awesome Fire Emblem group. Shopped my ass off and derped around with friends, but a piece of advice to anyone reading this: never, EVER try to order pizza in France.
That's about it for now. Waiting for Kyman to come back from China so I can drag him to shoots and show you some new material
