Description
Hello all, this is my first post in 2017 on deviantART. Happy New Year everyone
Luka was my first cosplay. I planned to cosplay magnet together with Jiyu as my Miku, but before that I did Just Be Friends as a test cosplay. This was way back in 2010, but I never actually got proper photos, just self-timer photos of me with my door as background. So I wanted to go back to my first cosplays and see how different they look now after 6 years of experience.
I talked to Kai from Kaleidoscopy, since I wanted to go for a different vibe than most of my photos have. I'm actually more of a fan of the story-telling, artsy-fartsy photos instead of portraits. And I was right to ask Kai because he immediately understood and came up with the idea of using a curtain tied to some trees as a backdrop. This was shot in April 2016, so the cherry blossoms were mostly withered, but I think that only fits the theme better, since I was trying to portray a "bride left at the altar".
Fun fact about this photo: the tear is real. But it's not due to phenomenal acting skills. It's due to hay fever.
